Day two got off to an interesting start. I was so tired that when I went to shave my legs I realized I brought shaving cream and my toothbrush into the shower (instead of a razor). Luckily, the start to my morning was not a sign for how the rest of the day would go. We had a wonderful day two.
After leaving the hotel at 8:34am, we stopped to get gas. To my pleasant surprise, I was able to watch TV while pumping gas. Thank goodness for that, otherwise I wouldn't have found out that Sofia Vergara (Gloria from Modern Family) recently got engaged in Mexico.
We had a smooth drive from CA to UT, with minor delays due to construction. It took a lot of will power for me to not stop at the Factory Outlets in Las Vegas. For being such a good girl, I was rewarded by beautiful scenery in AZ and UT. Below are a few pictures from our drive. The rest will be posted on Facebook when I have faster internet connection.

Arrival in Springdale, UT
After settling into our hotel we took a shuttle to Zion National Park. We were going to take a hike there this afternoon, but decided against it because of the heat and my shoes being subpar for the steep cliffs. It is also recommended to use walking sticks, and we don't have any. The shuttle took about 80 minutes, but we added extra time to that by getting off at certain stops to take pictures. It poured toward the end of the shuttle trip, so we opted to stay on the shuttle instead of getting off to take pictures. Since we are not hiking in Zion we will find a random hike on the way to Bryce Canyon National Park tomorrow. Below are two pictures from our adventure in Zion.
On the way to dinner we saw a beautiful double rainbow. There were about ten people outside the restaurant trying to take pictures. It was quite a scene. While at dinner my mom and I finally realized that we are no longer on Pacific Standard Time. We have been so "out of whack" that we had to ask our waiter what time zone UT is on because we couldn't figure it out for ourselves. We are now one hour ahead. It has been a long, but quite enjoyable day. We are now relaxing in bed and watching the Olympics. I can't wait to see more beautiful scenery in Bryce.
